Lanetta came from California to attend the ceremony. She described how her father was her hero. She said, “he was always taking pictures of us”.

Jerome Moon personally took initiative to get the bridge named after Cpl. Dobson. When speaking on he difficulty of getting the bridge named after Dobson Representative Moon stated, “The bar is so high, and nobody is more worthy than James Dobson”.

Mayor Ed Mitchell talked about the sacrifice that Dobson had made and was thankful for his service.
